LOCAL SHOPPING There are a number of shopping places in the Kelvin Valley area. Most shops are located in the towns and villages. Though not located in the
Valley, nearby Cumbernauld has a shopping centre (constantly undergoing redevelopment) and also out-of-town shopping sites.

cover most needs with a choice of well established suppliers of foods, goods and services - well worth a visit. There is also now a regular Farmer's Market held about once a month, on a Saturday in the Main
Street. This has a lively atmosphere and a mixture of traditional and more unusual to supplement to existing fare provided by the regular town traders.
FOR THE BIG SHOPPER ... Being situated in the Central Belt of Scotland, most of the major national shopping areas are only a short drive or train ride away.
Glasgow, with its world famous shopping streets, is less than 15 minutes by train from Croy Station by a frequent train service. Edinburgh is slightly
further away but only takes just over 30 minutes by train before you emerge in Edinburgh's City Centre just below the castle. And then there's Stirling, Falkirk, Perth, Dundee ...
